TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CODE OF CONDUCT

We welcome you to Hammonds Glamping (“the Glamp site”). Please note that by completing your booking implies your acceptance of these terms and conditions. We (“the Organisers”) have drawn up these rules for your benefit and ask all glampers to abide by these rules to ensure that your stay will be pleasurable and at the same time respecting the other glampers and local community.

COVID-19

Please follow government guidelines for isolation and travel. Please do not visit the glampsite if you or anyone in your party has tested positive in the 5 days before your stay. If you need to change your booking due to a positive COVID-19 test we will do our best to accommodate a change in dates, so please contact us as soon as possible. We would encourage you to continue to follow government advice and that you are considerate of other campers.

1. BOOKINGS

1.1 When you submit your booking through the online reservation system, you will receive an automated booking summary e-mail, to the e-mail address provided. Please check the email and let us know if there is any information that is not correct. 

If you are booking on behalf of other people in your party, it is your responsibility to share the appropriate information with them, including terms and conditions.

1.2 Payment. 20% payment is required when making a booking, via our secure online payment system, with the balance due 6 weeks before your stay. If your stay is less than 6 weeks away full payment will be required when booking. Bookings cannot be amended within 10 day(s) of arrival.

1.3 Admission is only permitted after registering at reception. At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over. We reserve the right, without giving reasons, to refuse a booking.

1.4 Arrivals and departures. Please let the organisers know your expected arrival time prior to arrival day. Late arrivals (after 8:30pm) must notify the organisers as soon as possible. Your booking will be held for 24 hours. After this period the management reserves the right to release your unit. Units will be allocated on arrival.

1.5 By booking and staying on the Woodland Champions Club site or using it’s facilities you agree to become a member of Woodland Champions Club and have your details shared. There is no fee for glamping membership and your details may be shared by Woodland Champions Club for the purposes of the running of the Club.

2. GLAMP SITE RULES & ETIQUETTE

2.1 It is the responsibility of all glampers to ensure that no damage is caused to the glamp site. Your allocated pitch and the whole glamp site should be respected and kept in a clean and orderly condition. Please show consideration for other campers and our neighbours at all times.

2.2 Please show consideration for other users of the glamp site by not causing noise, playing radios/music too loudly. Please dispose of all rubbish, litter etc in the bins provided. If a user of the glamp site does not show due consideration, the Organisers reserve the right to cancel their booking at which point they will have to immediately leave the glamp site.

2.3 The Glamp site Bell Tents are pitched and constructed in specific locations. These must stay in the designated space and no attempts should be made to move them for any reason.

2.4 Wristbands will be issued and will need to be worn at all times. This is to ensure guests are easily identifiable to Hammonds Glamping team staff as well as the National Trust staff especially when using the Hatchlands Estate facilities as well as footpaths

2.5 Juniors/Children (Under 18): Parents / guardians should ensure that children are not left unattended.

2.6 A quiet site policy: Glampers are requested to avoid excessive noise and loud conversations at all times, with absolute quiet between the hours of 23.00 hours and 08:00 hours. (Those who do not comply may be asked to leave the site at the discretion of the Organisers)

2.7 No sleeping in any type of vehicle at any time this includes, motorhomes, caravans, horseboxes (which are not permitted on site)

2.8 The glamping environment: Do not do anything that might spoil the neatness, hygiene, or appearance of the glamp site. It is not allowed to dump polluted water anywhere on the glamp site. Glampers must dispose of dirty water in the designated facilities only. Please dispose of all garbage, rubbish, and recycling in the designated containers. Please leave toilets, showers and washing up areas clean and tidy. Do not hang your laundry on the trees or shrubs. Anyone causing damage to our trees, plants, shrubs, fences, or glamping facilities will be held financially responsible. Please leave your designated tent the way you found it on arrival.

2.9 Dogs: Dogs are not permitted to walk free and as such must be kept under close control at all times, exercised away from glamping areas. If an accident should occur, the owner is responsible for any mess cleared / cleaned up immediately. Dogs may not cause any inconvenience to other guests. Dogs may not be left unattended in their owner’s car or tent. Dogs may be exercised on the footpaths surrounding the glamping site. If walking your dog on surrounding National Trust Land please remain on paths provided and follow all National Trust rules whilst on the wider estate.

3. VEHICLES & PARKING

3.1 A 5 mph speed restriction will be observed at all times for all vehicles.

 

3.2 Parking: This is to be only in the designated area and no vehicle is to enter the glamping area / field at any time. The only vehicle access is to be the Organisers authorised vehicles. We would ask you to borrow our wheelbarrows to take your belongings onto the glampsite.

4. CHARGES

4.1 Charges may vary. Please contact us or refer to https://www.hammondsglamping.com for current prices.

4.2 Additional items are available on request and will be charged separately.

5. RULES & SAFETY

5.1 Hen or stag parties and wedding parties are not permitted at Hammonds Glamping.

5.2 Drunk & disorderly behaviour will not be tolerated and if deemed necessary, the Glamp site Organiser’s reserve the right to ask any guest or group to vacate the site and make good any damage caused.

 

5.3 Theft: Each guest is responsible for his/her own possessions. The management cannot be held responsible for theft or damages to any property belonging to guests. If you see anyone suspicious on the campsite, please report it to the glamp site team immediately.

5.4 The National Trust do not permit mountain biking in the Hatchlands Park grounds, children's bikes and scooters are allowed but please do not use adult bikes on the park grounds.

6. MANAGEMENT OF THE GLAMPSITE

6.1 The Hammonds Glamping team is responsible for maintaining order on the glamp site. In case anyone breaks the Glamping Rules it is the duty of the Hammonds on site team and management to take measures and, if necessary, the Glamp site Organiser’s reserve the right to ask any guest or group to vacate the site and make good any damage caused.

6.2 The Glamp site Organisers and Glamp site staff shall not be liable for any loss or damage to property or personal injury sustained whilst on the Glamp site premises, however caused. The Glamp site Organisers shall not be held liable for refunds in the event of adverse weather conditions or for any other reason, including any Force Majeure Event, which might lead to visitors terminating early or cancelling their stay on the site.

6.3 Hammonds is a working farm so please be aware and alert of machinery and livestock. Please do not enter any field or area on the farm that is not part of the Hammonds Glamp site.

7. FIRE SAFETY

7.1 Fire points: The Organisers will ensure that there are adequate fire points and a system of raising the alarm in the event of fire . These will be clearly signposted on and around the site. The main fire assembly point is at the car park to the North of the site.

7.2 LPG: Bulk storage of liquefied petroleum gas will not be permitted. Glampers are not permitted to bring LPG onto the Glamp site for any reason

7.3 Fires and barbeques: Open fires and/or disposable barbeques are not permissible, if you would like a campfire or BBQ, you MUST use the BBQ/fire pits provided for each tent and are kept sited in designated location and suitable & always attended so that they are not a hazard to other guests. Wood & kindling for the fire pits will be supplied on site and can be purchased prior to arriving or once checked in. Please do not collect any kindling or firewood from anywhere on the site or surrounding areas. Please note: The Organisers cannot accept responsibility for your possessions, or any personal injury sustained while camping or using campfires

7.4 Petrol/Diesel Generators: For reasons of noise and for health and safety these are not allowed on the glamp site. The only generator permitted within the glamp site is the special silent unit provided by the Glamp site Organisers for supply of power to the catering trailer, shower and toilet units, as necessary. Any generators found operating on the site other than those mentioned above will be shut down. If a user / guest of the glamp site persists in using an unofficial generator they will be asked to leave by the Organisers.

7.5 Open fires are strictly prohibited. Fire pits (including using for cooking) may only take place under the supervision of an adult. Do not leave the fire unattended until it has gone out

completely. Any cooking apparel needs to be in perfect working order and may not be used under an awning, and only in the tents that have designated cooking stoves in place. In case of fire, notify the campsite administrator immediately. Fire extinguishers & blankets are available on the campsite and within each tent. A first aid kit is available at the glamping site team welcome area and also within each tent that incorporates a stove.

8. FORCE MAJEURE EVENTS

CONCLUSION

8.1 Whilst the Organisers will use all reasonable endeavours to mitigate the effect of any Force Majeure Event and attempt to secure and offer alternative facilities, the Organisers shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performance of any obligations under this agreement due to a Force Majeure Event. For the purposes of this agreement, a Force Majeure Event shall mean any of the following: fire, explosion, water logged ground, flood, windstorm, lightning, Act of God, natural disaster, act of terrorism, war, rebellion, riot, sabotage, strike, disease, interruption or failure of utility service (including but not limited to water, electricity or gas), collapse of building structures, failure of machinery or an y e vents, acts, omissions, accidents or circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Organisers.

 

We hope that you understand the need for these simple rules and appreciate that they are for the benefit of all who stay at the glamp site. The owners of Hammonds Glampsite hereby reserve their right to transfer all liabilities, assets, and contractual responsibilities to a successor of their choice and without prior notification.
