IS THERE A MINIMUM STAY?

On our Deluxe furnished tents we have a 2-night minimum stay policy. 


WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN/OUT?

Check in is between 3pm and 8:30pm on the day of arrival. We do ask that you let us know your estimated time of arrival on booking or please contact us closer to your stay to let us know on 07849 086460. We do not recommend arriving after 8:30pm as you need time and daylight to set up and familiarise yourself with the site. Check out is by 10am on your departure day.


HOW MANY PEOPLE DO BELL TENTS SLEEP?

The 6m deluxe furnished bell tents sleep up to 6 people, this includes 2 people sharing a double bed, 4 single beds. A bed can be exchanged for a travel cot.

The 5m deluxe furnished bell tents sleep up to 5 people, this includes 2 people sharing a double bed and 3 single beds.

The 4.5m deluxe furnished bell tents sleep up to 4 people, this includes 2 people sharing a double bed and 2 single beds. A bed can be exchanged for a travel cot.You can also hire single beds and travel cots from us, please request this at booking, or contact us separately. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT POLICY?

If you need to amend your booking, please give as much notice as possible so that someone else has the chance to book the tent. You may wish to buy holiday insurance for cancellations and for your property/injury whilst away.

If your booking is within 14 days and you are no longer able to come on the dates you have booked, please contact us and we will do our best to find an alternative date, or issue you a voucher to use at another time.

Cancellation charges are set out below:

More than 30 days prior to start of booking              10% of the booking fees will be charged

14-30 days prior to start of booking.                            50% of the booking fees will be charged

Less than 14 days or after the booking start date.    100% of the booking fees will be charged 

If Government advice requires us to close the site, you will receive a full refund.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?

Prices start from £300 for a deluxe furnished tent, for 2 nights. 

Please use the booking process online to check availability and the total cost for your stay. Extras are available to add on to your booking during that process. Please see our ‘BOOK NOW’ page for more information.


HOW DO YOU TAKE PAYMENT?

You have the option to pay in full when booking, or choose the 20% payment upfront option if your booking is more than 8 weeks away. The balance is then due 8 weeks before the start of your stay. We will send you an email reminder to pay the balance, so please keep an eye on your emails.

Payment is taken using our secure online booking process powered by Stripe.


ARE DOGS ALLOWED?

Yes! We understand that dogs are part of your family so we welcome dogs on site too. The booking allows for 2 dogs per tent, one additional dog can be added at the time of booking if necessary. Please bear in mind the comfort and feelings of other campers and do not allow them to run wild and bother other campers.


WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

If you are staying in our deluxe furnished tents we will provide you with beds for up to 6 people and bedding and pillows. 

We can hire single airbeds and travel cots which can be added at the time of booking.

We recommend bringing extra blankets for the colder nights, we also advise you bring with you a good quality torch as some areas of the site are unlit. 

You will need to bring all your own camping and cooking equipment and food.

We will provide you with a picnic table.  Fire pit, logs and grills to cook food on are available for purchase at time of booking or on site. High chairs can also be hired from us for little ones. 

 

WHAT CAN I BUY ON SITE?

You can buy additional logs and kindling, and grills for your firepit on site. We also have a refreshments trailer that has a mix of drinks, crisps, sweets and snacks as well as ‘Surrey Hills’ coffee, teas and hot chocolate. 

 

CAN I STAY IF I'M UNDER 18?

We require an adult to accompany all under 18 year olds, and to be responsible for all guests within the party.

Parents are also kindly reminded that they are responsible for their children at all times.  Hammonds Glamping is a secure and private site.  The responsibility for any activities or actions off site are solely those of the visiting adults.  Hammonds Glamping operate responsibility for the glamping site only, not the adjoining National Trust public walkways or onsite private farm.

There are plenty of health and safety signs, particularly in relation to the rail line nearby and private farm.  It is your responsibility to ensure your party do not access these restricted areas.  Restricted areas being the railway and the private farm. 

 

IS THERE PARKING ON SITE?

Yes, there is a grass car park across the path from the campsite with parking for 1 car per tent. You are able to book space for another car when booking if necessary.


ARE DAY VISITORS ALLOWED?

We operate a wristband policy for all guests when on site as we are on National Trust land so please do contact us if you wish to have visitors and we will do our best to accommodate.

HOW DO I CHARGE MY PHONE?

We do have charging units available on site, please ask for more information.

 

IS THERE PHONE SIGNAL OR WIFI?

There’s no WiFi on site, but you should get a strong 4G and phone signal. If you are having problems and need to make an important or urgent call, please contact the onsite team.


IS MUSIC ALLOWED ON SITE?

We allow an acceptable level of music which will be judged by our site manager. There is a quiet policy between 9pm-8am, with no noise after 11pm. We are a family friendly site so we do ask you to respect that there may be little ones sleeping in the evenings, and adults trying to enjoy a well deserved break!


IS THERE A QUIET POLICY?

We do ask everyone to respect our quiet policy from 9pm with no noise after 11pm. This is for the comfort of all our guests staying on site.


HOW CLOSE IS THE NEAREST SHOP?

Crossroads stores is a hub for local, artisan produce, specialising in cheese, meat, snacks and some delicious wine, beers and gins and only a 20 minute walk from Hammonds glamping. 

Otherwise the village of Horsley is within a 5 minute drive from the site offering a brilliant local butchers, bakery, post office, convenience stores and takeaways. Ripley village is home to some beautiful cafes and The Co-op for everyday supplies. Please see our ‘EXPLORE THE AREA’ page for more information on the local area.

 

HOW CLOSE IS THE NEAREST PUB/RESTAURANT?

The nearest pub, The King William IV Pub,  is only 15 minutes walk from the site. A brilliant family friendly pub with play area and garden.  Please see our ‘EXPLORE THE AREA’ page for more information on the local area.

ARE YOU COVID-19 SAFE?

Hammonds Glamping will be conducting a COVID-19 risk assessment before the start of the season, and we will be working hard to retain the hygiene and safety standards to keep us all as safe as possible. Please respect the hygiene rules and do your bit to protect yourself and others.

If you or any member of your party contract COVID-19, are showing symptoms or are unable to visit due to isolation, we will do our best to move your booking to a later date or provide a gift voucher for any payments made.
